The 5th St.Gallen International Gastrointestinal Cancer Conference 2020 is cancelled!

In view of the current situation and the spread of the coronavirus, the Federal Council of Switzerland has today categorised the situation as particular in terms of the Epidemics Act. Large-scale events involving more than 1000 people are to be banned. The ban comes into immediate effect and will apply at least until 15 March 2020. This measure should prevent or delay the spread of the disease in Switzerland, thus reducing its momentum.

The trip to the 5^th St.Gallen International Gastrointestinal Cancer Conference would bring several risks for participants, faculty members and sponsors. Additionally, many of the scheduled international speakers will not be able to travel due to travel restrictions of their employer. Due to these facts, the chairs and organisers of the conference felt obliged to cancel the 5^th edition of the St. Gallen International Gastrointestinal Cancer Conference, which was supposed to take place from 19 to 21 March 2020 in St. Gallen / Switzerland.
