The International Scientific Committee and the local organizers were delighted to welcome 3200 delegates to another (14th) outstanding «St. Gallen-Breast Cancer Conference» - this time in Vienna, Austria! Experts of virtually all major cooperative groups and centers world-wide were actively engaged in basic and clinical research as well as in clinical management of breast cancer presented their latest data, critically reviewed by leading specialists in the field.

 

The conference closed as usual with an update of the widely acknowledged St. Gallen consensus on the optimal treatment of early breast cancer for the next two years. The voting results are available on this website along with the actual consensus manuscript which will be published in summer 2015 in Annals of Oncology.

 

We hope to see all of you again at the next SG-BCC, taking place 15-18 March 2017.

scope of conference / participants

Participants were clinical oncologists like medical and radio-oncologists, surgeons, gynaecologists, pathologists, epidemiologists, breast cancer nurses and basic scientists from all over the world. Medical staff as well as medical journalists were also welcome to join the meeting.

 

scientific programme / exhibition

The programme consisted entirely of invited lectures by internationally known experts. Extensive poster exhibition, up-to-date company-sponsored satellite symposia, large commercial exhibition.

 

consensus session

Following a long standing tradition, the 2015 St. Gallen Breast Cancer Conference ended with an update of the internationally acclaimed interdisciplinary expert St. Gallen consensus panel on the optimal primary treatment of early breast cancer – the longest-lasting and probably most important breast cancer consensus meeting world-wide, since nearly 30 years.
