Alan Coates receives the St.Gallen Breast Cancer Award 2015

Prof. Alan Coates received for his lifetime achievement in the field of breast cancer the St.Gallen Breast Cancer Award. The conferment of the prize took place at the start of the St.Gallen Breast Cancer Conference 2015 at the Austria Center Vienna.

Prof. Alan Coates‘ strong committment to international, scientific trial conduction and cooperation, esp. in primary therapy of breast cancer, dominates all of his activities in clinical oncology. SONK honors Prof. Alan Coates with this award as a great clinical scientist, a stimulating, multi-lingual teacher, and a dear friend! Alan Coates attended all of the 14 St.Gallen BCC‘s since 1982, co-chaired them from the beginning, and was the indispensable, primary „ghost-writer“ of all their 11 Consensus Papers since 1988!
